One of the best parts of floral preservation is the new life that's given to pressed blooms once they've dried. This includes changes in their appearance as well as their colour. For example, in order for us your flowers to fit in your frame we often need to remove lots of petals from thicker blooms (e.g., peonies and roses). Furthermore, the color of many flowers will change as they dry. For example, many pink florals tend to dry down to a purple color. As a rule of thumb, brighter colored flowers (think bright oranges, brick reds, and fuchsias) tend to hold their color better than pastel colored flowers. Greenery also tends to hold its original color. We love this natural effect, and therefore don't use any colorants to alter the color of the dried blooms.
